Yields 5 dozen cookies
Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 sticks butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 12 ounce package Nestle Toll House Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips (I usually use just half the chips as the recipe uses)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
- Using mixer, beatt butter, both sugars and vanilla until creamy
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually, on slow speed, beat in flour mixture
- Stir in chips
- Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until golden brown
- Cool about 2 minutes on baking sheets and then move to wire rack or parchment paper to cool completely.
Notes:
I usually double the recipe but not the chips.
May use the same recipe to make butterscotch chip cookies.
