Ingredients:
- 2 tart apples, cored and sliced or chopped (may be peeled)
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 T water
- a little lemon juice
Directions:
- In a saucepan, combine apples, sugar, cinnamon and water.
- Stir to dissolve sugar.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes or until apples are soft.
- Squeeze in a little lemon juice.
- If syrup is too thick add a little water until desired consistency.
- Serve over pancakes.
Makes 2 to 4 servings.
