Vanilla Sauce

From Pam Griffith's Bread Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons corn starch
  • Dash salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:
  1. In a saucepan combine all but the vanilla.  Bring to a boil over medium heat stirring until sugar is dissolved. Reduce heat and simmer to allow sauce to thicken.
  2. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
  3. Stir and serve.
