Turkey Meatloaf

Ingredients:
  • 2 Tablespoons butter (or olive oil)
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg (or 1/4 cup egg substitute)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (more for the top, optional)
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Saute onion and garlic in butter or olive oil for about 5 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Combine turkey, bread crumbs, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and onion mixture.
  4. Press into an 8 X 4 loaf pan.  Top with ketchup if desired.
  5. Bake for 50-55 minutes until internal temperature reached 165 degrees.
  6. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
